I won't spoil much, but I will say how much I loved the pencil trick! Overall an incredibly, fantastic movie. I don't think there could've been any better acting at all. Everyone was at the top of there game there.
There were a couple parts that I didn't quite agree with, but understand why they were played out so. Like the boat scene, I would go as far as to guarantee that at least one set if not both sets of passengers would've rioted and pushed the damn button.

But then that would have proved Joker right more than the other scenes where he was correct in predicting people.

The underlying message of the whole movie was: "We as a society cant let fear control and degrade us"

And I just wanted to reply so you would'nt feel neglected. ;)

You'll have your full say on the Cast this week if we can do Sunday.

I agree! With both your opinion and understanding.

It felt a little heavy handed smearing the moral of the story across the screen- especially against the backdrop of a story that was complex, and human in both flaws and strengths.

But I absolutely fucking adored the movie. There was ONE instance that seems plot-holish, and I hope on a second viewing it turns out to be a misunderstanding on my part.

Not to be the one to say "Nay" -- and believe me, I would never naysay THIS flick, truly magnificent feat that it was -- but, I'm afraid of the second viewing. I think there may be some lurking holes that only open up on the second viewing (when you're not so overwhelmed by the awesomeness). And it seemed a bit long, yet the scenes were too short. That said ...

The Dark Knight effing rules movies.

Period.

Not only is this movie going to break all (and I mean ALL) pertinent box office records, but it will forever be the paragon piece of The Summer That Changed Comic Book film. Iron Man was the fuse, and The Dark Knight is the mutha&^$*ing BOMB.

I'll save it for the cast, but ... Wow.
