So, how would Voltron fare against these dudes?

The scenarios:

Voltron vs. M.A.S.K. - Unable to construct a robeast capable of defeating Voltron in battle, the evil witch Haggar concocts a scheme to be rid of the Defender of the Universe once and for all: While the Voltron Lions lay dormant, she sends them back in time and space through treachery and magic to the planet Earth in its past, where they are eventually discovered by the villainous Miles Mayhem, leader of V.E.N.O.M. A technical genius, Mayhem learns how to pilot the Lions with the help of Vanessa Warfield and three other key V.E.N.O.M. operatives. Against such a powerful force, can Matt Trakker and M.A.S.K. save the world from total domination?

Voltron vs. Captain Planet - Let's just make this a week-long, five-episode miniseries, shall we? I used to love those things. After the battle against M.A.S.K. (regardless of the outcome), Mayhem and his V.E.N.O.M. cronies are tricked by the Earth's sworn protectors, the Planeteers, who take control of the Lions. "Meanwhile" (time travel, remember?) on Arus, Princess Allura contacts the spirits of her father and mother to help her recover the Lions. In her attempt to do so, she makes mental contact with Planeteers, but their relationship with Captain Planet has an unforeseeable side effect: Cap is manifested, but now he's evil! With the help of the Voltron team from beyond time and space, can Kwame, Wheeler, Ma-Ti, Linka, and Gi stop a mad Captain Planet before he destroys the Earth?

Voltron vs. Tranzor Z - Keith, Allura, Lance, Pidge, and Hunk are now in control of Voltron once again, and are trying to find a way to bring the Lions home. But, still believing the Voltron robot to be a threat (and suspecting it as an attempt to recreate his own impressive mecha), Tommy Davis brings in Tranzor Z to save the day and stop Voltron at all costs. Are the similarities between the massive mechas mere coincidence? Who will prevail?

Voltron vs. Transformers vs. Voltron vs. Gobots (Pts. 1 & 2) - The Voltron Force finally has found a way to get the Lions home, and records show that the key lies with the Autobots. When the Decepticons get involved, however, everything backfires and Vehicle Voltron is transported to Earth as well! It's all-out war, and now, it's all up to the Leader-1 and the Gobots to come on the scene and set things right ... that is, if Cy-Kill and his renegades don't ruin everything for all time!!!

So, how's it go? Who wins?

Capt. Planet beats Lion Voltron - power of the planet behind him
Lion Voltron beats Tranzor Z - Tranzor sux
Transformers beat Lion Voltron - superior numbers
Car Voltron beats Gobots - superior tech

I may be with Captain Planet winning, except the Planeteers are behind the wheel and know about his weakness to pollution ... shouldn't be too hard to fly to North Korea (or Taylor) and take him out -- especially when you have blazing sword, right?.

And it ends up being Lion Volt and Vehicle Volt vs. Transformers and Gobots. Same answer? I think we may have a "300" scenario at work here ...

Can't fly to Korea if Capt whips up a tornado to down you. Power of the PLANET, not just magic keys.

Assuming an Autobot/Decepticon team up, Transformers would beat both Voltrons with little help from the Gobots. It's just too many of them and several teams that can form Voltron size robots. Keep in mind that Voltron has a time limit it can stay formed.

MASK takes Voltron - Trakker can easily out strategize Mayhem respectless of tech

Voltron takes Planet - Mayhem has marginally more common sense than the villains Planet fights and thus, would be caught flatfooted.

Voltron takes Tranzor Z - ditto

Transformers take Voltron - ditto; Gobots would then beat car Voltron for the same reason ( and that CV sucks more) Then Tranformers beat Gobots. victor: Tranformers.

Bonus prediction: Fred Rodgers takes Optimus, thus ruling all.

I dont even think the Lions have to join to beat Mask. Every show, the Lions get started taking out swaths of alien Armadas. If he proposes a fake truce to get the team out of their lions and to a signing banquet he can poison them sure. I assume a versus match up means no accord can be reached.

Again, Captain PLANET. Not having wasted my time on many episodes I'll concede the point though.

I don't think Gobots had the numbers Transformers did nor the firepower of an entire city that can transform nor triple changer tech. VV sucks more than Gobots? Sacrilege.
