Why Robotech sux monkey balls.

So, young master Aaron, he of kung fu and trucks (formerly), refused to join this group on the grounds that I -- somewhat faceitiously, maybe even troll-like, I'm ashamed to say -- slammed Robotech in comparison to Voltron in my invite. To which I replied:

Look, dude, I've dealt with all that pedantry from Digg for the longest! ROBOTECH BORED THE SHITe OUTTA ME! Every time I turned the darned show on, it was always some blue-haired lounge singer talking to somebody, or Goose and Iceman having a "discussion."

FORM BLAZING SWORD, bitches!!!! Your farking airplanes turn into robots!!!! That shit should be happening ALL THE TIME!!!

The best thing to come out of that franchise was Robolinks toys.

I'm posting this in the forums. It's time for the paper empire that is Robotech to come down.

And so it goes. To be fair, I really hardly tuned in to Robotech at all for those reasons, so I'm a terrible judge of which was better. What say you, fellow Volphiles?

Could be another case of the continuous storyline being too much for the attention span of a young viewer. Had I come in mid stream I'd be lost too.

I watched all the way through the Invid Invasion saga and know that this series was better than Voltron. It's comparing a kid's cartoon show to an Anime epic. I've recently watched the new Robotech Shadow Chronicles movie.

I'll not even consider an opinion on Robotech unless the viewer watched four consecutive episodes. Aaron is especially suspect, having judged Samurai Champloo to be a better series than Cowboy Bebop based solely on having seen the Bebop movie, and lied that he compared them series versus series.
